164: The Aldi Irish Angus YDP All Ireland Junior Stockperson of the Year - Qualifier
Winner €1,000, Runner Up €500, Third €300, Fourth-Ninth, €200
RULES & REGULATIONS:
- All Exhibitors must be between the ages of 13 and 17 years on the 1st January 2024.
- All entries must pay a membership fee of €10 to Irish Angus YDP (membership forms from IACS office or website).
- All competitors must have been a member of Irish Angus YDP in 2023.
- Parents or guardians of participants must be members of the Irish Angus Cattle Society before January 1st, 2024, and currently have membership paid up.
- Competitors may only enter qualifying show class in their provincial region.
- All animals entering this competition must be registered in the Irish Angus herd book from birth.
- Animal exhibited must be no more than 1 year old in this class on the 1st August 2024.
- YDP will require proof of age before confirming entry ( include copy of birth cert with entry).
- 3 winners from each region goes forward to Final in Iverk.
- Winners to be presented with qualifying trophy by YDP Executive.
- The YDP committee reserve the right to make changes to criteria if necessary.
The All Ireland competition will be held at Iverk show on August 24th, 2024.
This class is kindly sponsored by Aldi /ABP and is top of the league with regards sponsorship of YDP classes in Ireland, it will involve an Elite group of nine finalists battling for a prize fund of €3000.
This competition will bring together nine finalists who will be selected from their provincial area at three regional shows through qualifiers arranged by YDP.
Qualifiers: Charleville 29th June, Longford 7th July, Bonniconlon 5th August Final: Iverk
Entry to Show ground via Ballina Road. Cattle judging in all rings will commence at 11.00am SHARP
Cattle with steel training halters will not be allowed on Showgrounds. No entry will be accepted or changed on Show Day.
Notice: The Department of Agriculture stipulates that all animals must comply with Department of Agriculture rules in force at the time of the Show. I.D. Cards must be produced on request.
Exhibitors must apply to the DVO for Destination Details Movement form (NBAS 31A) for showing animals or online via ISCS website. Show Herd No. M966
5% of prize money will be deducted for I.S.A Championship. Please note Rule 17. Prize money will not be paid on the day, it will be posted out at a later date.
New Rule: If a qualified exhibitor does not turn up to an ISA final without giving prior notice to the ISA office or to a board member he or she will incur a financial penalty.
All entries are now electronic, no entries will be accepted after the closing date Monday 29/07/2024.
